 Marilou received her Holistic Health Practitioner certification after completing over 1000 hours of study at the School of Healing Arts here in San Diego. Her commitment to a holistic, natural approach to wellness, health & fitness guides her practice of massage as she integrates both western musculoskeletal bodywork with eastern philosophies into her sessions. Along with her ability to practice various sports/therapeutic massage styles, she is certified in hot stone therapy, pregnancy massage and Zen-Touch acupressure work as well. Zen-Touch is a fully clothed shiatsu-based form of bodywork practiced on a futon on the floor. Benefits include stretching while experiencing a complete mind, body & emotional energy connection. Marilou is also a Reiki practitioner in the Usui system of natural healing and is near completion with a 250 hour intensive hypnotherapy program.
A native of San Diego, Marilou earned a B.S. degree in Marketing from the Business Department at San Diego State University and has raised three sons in Scripps Ranch over the last 20+ years. She spends her free time outdoors, is an avid hiker, enjoys tennis, water sports, skiing and practices yoga regularly. |
