TEAM BUILDING AND FITNESS

Fitness classes and programs are often performed first thing in the morning before a conference even begins. Classes often start at 6:00 AM or 6:30 AM and last between 30-60 minutes in length. We typically end our early morning classes at least one hour prior to the start of a first session. Healthy breakfast’s can be served right at the venue to make for a great start to the day. These are all can’t miss programs and attendees always rave about how thankful they are they can get started with some great movement. In larger conferences, we often like to have one vigorous fitness class coupled with one mind-body class to accommodate all attendees. Here are some examples of programs that work very well:

PILATES
Pilates is a powerful method of exercise designed to increase strength, flexibility, body awareness, and balance in the body. Pilates takes a gentle approach to exercise and focuses on the "core" of the body. A large body of research has proven the effectiveness of Pilates in treating low back pain, neck pain, arthritis, and more. Whether you are tired of your current routine, have reached plateaus, or have tried a myriad of curative alternatives for your pain relief to no avail, you must try Pilates.

Our gentle, therapeutic Hatha yoga classes are designed to ease your stress in a therapeutic environment. Our expert instructors teach how correct alignment in the yoga poses aids in bringing a profound peace and balance to the physical and mental aspects of the body. People of all ranges of flexibility and ability level are encouraged to try our yoga classes. Yoga is wonderful to help restore balance in a normally hectic week. It can be done early in the morning, at a lunch time program, or it’s a great way to end a busy day.

SPORT CORD WORKOUT
This class helps participants balance the demands of a busy lifestyle with their fitness goals, and is popular with people of all ages. Todd Durkin will conduct a fun, dynamic, motivating workout session using the sport cords (resistance tubes) to teach people how to workout using minimal equipment. A resistance sport cord and workout program card illustrating each exercise is given at the end of the workout. This is a great workout for the corporate traveler that needs to learn a program for the road. This program combines both resistance training and cardiovascular exercise. Many corporate events and conferences also offer a sport cord as a great gift to participants and attendees of a conference.

Todd Durkin Team BuildingSTRETCH & RELAX
This class is designed to increase flexibility and enhance relaxation using Todd Durkin’s techniques of stretching called Optimal Performance Bodywork. All clients receive a special OPB stretching rope that helps maximize your body's ability to improve range of motion and flexibility. This class feels good and helps those that are in pain as it teaches you the best techniques to stretch your lower back, hip flexors, hamstrings, chest, shoulders, and entire body. This class can be performed in a small conference room, outside on the beach, or on the deck of a hotel pool. This class is extremely popular as a healthy break or at a lunch break when people need to stretch their body out from sitting all day.
